Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Inc. is an exciting new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) company located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Company is fielding a fleet of scalable, blended wing body (BWB) UAVs destined to become the "Next Generation UAVs." Combining an innovative design with proprietary carbon composite construction, UAS, Inc. is building a fleet of UAVs called "Nightwind." The principal attributes of the Nightwind UAV are: economical cost, minimal maintenance, small logistics/support footprint, excellent payload carrying capacity and endurance, as well as superior flight handling characteristics.
UAS, Inc. has "raised the bar" on the BWB design and brought together recognized experts in UAV manufacturing, flight testing and sensor integration to evolve the Nightwind, which is now being introduced to numerous Government agencies and the military services. Following a highly successful flight demonstration in January 2009, the Nightwind is being proposed to the Department of Homeland Security to serve as a surveillance platform in support of disaster relief and border protection missions. The Nightwind is also being touted as the next generation UAV to replace current tactical UAV platforms serving in the skies in Southwest Asia today.
UAS, Inc. is located in an eight thousand square foot modern facility. It is equipped with all the necessary ingredients for fabrication, assembly, integration, and bench testing UAVs.
The Company's talent pool is comprised of 10 highly skilled personnel who have worked in with unmanned platforms and composite materials for a combined total of 85 years. In order to maintain their high level of proficiency, these same employees undergo over 100 hours of annual in-house training in carbon composites fabrication and manufacturing. UAS, Inc. will grow to at least 20 full-time employees by the end of calendar year 2009.
UAS, Inc.’s technical staff is capable of supporting customer requirements at any US Government Range within the Continental United States (CONUS) and is working with a Defense contractor teaming partner, who will provide similar support at overseas locations.
UAS, Inc. is working closely with multiple Defense contractor companies in pursuit of a fully integrated approach to Border Security, Force Protection, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and First-Responder Communications Support.
