Since 2002, several Nightwind style Blended Wing Body UAVs have been purchased by the USAF and flown in support of the Joint Integrated Attack Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO).  These same style UAVs have successfully demonstrated their capabilities for NORAD/NORTHCOM, the Department of Homeland Security, USAF,  Army, the Naval Weapons Center, the US Customs & Border Protection, NASA, FBI, and Las Vegas Metro Police Department. 

Nightwind2 UAVs have been subjected to various flight-test programs, which have been developed in-house by adapting and utilizing flight-testing protocols used in FAA flight certification of manned-aircraft. The Nightwind2 platforms have been proven in DoD observed flight-test operations, and by their flight performance in the conduct of a variety of missions, utilizing a variety of sensor and payload systems.
